A Canadian flight engineer on an Arctic Survival course at Resolute Bay, Nunavut seen lying in a trench during a lesson on cutting snow blocks. January is a month in the Arctic which sees nearly 24-hours of darkness and extreme cold and are normal conditions soldiers train to live in.
