Mcpl Susie Hiqinit a Canadian Ranger from Gjoa Haven seen in a tent in the base camp set up during a patrol where they are required to live on the land for a week surviving solely from fishing and hunting. Susie has been a Ranger for 10-years. Due to the cold, early darkness and lack of social activities soldiers can face long periods of solitude and loneliness, which are a major consideration for all morale and mental health while operating in a region that is so sparsely populated.
