Dust to Dust: The Legacy of Asbestos

New York City Police and Firemen march past ground zero on the fourth anniversary of the World Trade Center Towers collapse and terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. The north tower contained several thousand tons of asbestos. When the towers collapsed this resulted in one of the largest single uncontrolled releases of asbestos.It can take between 10-40 years to contract cancer from asbestos.
