Helen Winning, age 56 who lives in Glasgow, Scotland. She worked at the Templeton Carpet factory in Glasgow. She started there in 1964 straight out of school and started off as an office junior. She did not work in the production area except going out on the shop floor to get administration forms completed from the production line managers. She said the factory was massive and many people worked there. At the beginning of the 1980?s she moved to work for an insurance broker and held several secretarial jobs until getting a job in 2001 at the University of Glasgow. In 2006 she was diagnosed with mesothelioma from being exposed to asbestos at the carpet factory. Her mother was a weaver at Templetons before she was born, she died from mesothelioma in 1994.
